The TargMart

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Apparently WalMart (at least in Winona, I'd be interested in hearing confirmations elsewhere) has a new dress code. Navy Blue polo's and khaki pants.  Smocks are on their way out?  Trying to be Target again…it hasn't worked yet.  I don't know that this new dress code will help.  I think they should just issue the […]

Bust buy buys Speakeasy

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

The indie ISP known for great customer service and premium services is being bought by Best Buy. I cannot see anything good coming of this, except of course some lining of Best Buy executive pockets.
"We have a high regard for Speakeasy's employees, their culture, and their valued relationships with customers and vendors," Jackson said. "They […]

TiVo follow up

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

Well my post on TiVo's customer service has made me "Web Famous 3.0".  The story made The Consumerist, then Digg (that's a whole demonstration in how Digg is broken too) and Gizmodo through The Consumerist.  I feel like following up on some of the comments I have been seeing.
I think that characterizing the statements […]

A+ Amazon customer service

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

Well I wrote about TiVo's customer service being a little off the mark, so it is only fair that I write about an A+ experience as well.  I ordered books in January from Amazon.  One book must have been backordered because the shipment took forever.  IT finally in Feburary started shipping in pieces.  3 of […]

My Consumerist friend and me

My TiVo experience just made The Consumerist!

TiVo cancelled

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

I wouldn't call it painless but at least she was pleasant and spoke perfect English.
Tomorrow would have been a fresh billing for the TiVo and the Snapstream box is working reasonably well so it was time to cancel.  I waited on hold for about 12 minutes with slightly above hold music.  A pleasant woman named […]

Nintendo knows customer service

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

The Radiospy knows first hand that Nintendo's customer service clearly is top notch, but this story really is good.  Sony nor Wal-Mart nor probably anyone else save the Citking would treat you that good.
